Throughout this blog I will be following some formatting conventions that I think will help readers get the most out of it quickly.
Formatting conventions
I will format various parts of the post to highlight text that may be useful:
- Web links will be highlighted in blue
- Reference sources (eg books) will be referenced in green
- Points of emphasis will be highlighted in red
Most of the posts will be longer than makes sense if I want to fit as many headlines on the screen as possible. To do this I will split the longer posts leaving just a summary on the main page. If you want to read the whole post then press the "more..." link at the bottom of the summary - this will take you to the full post. If there is nothing other than the summary then the message "-end-of-post-" will show up at the end.
If I copy text into the blog from an external course it will be referenced - I will mostly do this if I think that the source text may disappear from the referenced site at some stage.
